These jackets are just amazing.  They have three parts.  The outer layer is a mesh which has removable armour inbuilt at the shoulders, back and elbows.  The middle layer is the waterproofing layer. It is a micropourous membrane laminated to prevent rain, snow and wind from penetrating.  There is also thermo adhesive taping at the seam to prevent water and wind from penetrating the garment.  The inner layer is a double layered polyester for warmth.  It has a zippered pocket as well as a mobile phone pocket.  Each layer is zipped together in multiple ways so you can choose if you wear one, two or all three layers. It is a great jacket for summer or winter and pefect for our Australian weather which can be so variable.
